Celebration Script : A Future Celebration
In transforming the project into an exhibition format, the goal was not just to present a “record,” but to sustain and develop the energy of the project while adding new layers of enthusiasm. Drawing inspiration from theatrical performances, the completed project was likened to a script or sheet music, with the expectation of discovering new scenes by adding further narrative elements. For this exhibition, a collective was formed, inviting Okinawan photographer Linda Iha, contemporary artist Yuta Imanishi, Taiwanese journalist KU, HE-CHUN, and the new media art collective 2ENTER to collaborate and create together.
The aim of this exhibition is to leave a record for the next generation as a new tradition. By incorporating various interpretations, the project seeks to be archived. Additionally, as a future development, there is potential to create a “Sabani (tentative)” as the 12-year successor to the “Kajimaya” in an ultra-aging society.
By celebrating my late grandmother’s longevity, I personally experienced a reunion where the deceased and the living continue to grow older together. As long as I live, Okinawan longevity celebrations will continue to evolve.
In the lobby of the exhibition, lanterns depicting scenes from the Kajimaya event as well as new scenes are on display. At the bottom of the lanterns, objects representing “Tankā-yūē (selection ceremony)” are suspended, visually linking the Okinawan traditional longevity celebration “Kajimaya” and the 1-year-old celebration “Tanka-yu-eh,” illustrating the passage of time.
On the main wall of the venue, a video projection expresses the similarity between the scene of the ceremonial fire and the digital data compression transmission, depicting the Kajimaya parade being sent toward the afterlife. This video is an attempt to imagine the afterlife through a digital lens.
On the floor, a carpet printed with a photograph of the ash taken after the ceremonial fire was laid out, providing space for visitors to freely engage with. This “transfer device” carpet became a part of the installation, where the live performance of The Four Sisters, who have sung about Okinawan landscapes since the post-war era, took place during the exhibition. Visitors were invited to create a lived experience together.

慶典劇本：未來的慶祝
在將項目轉化為展覽形式時，我們不僅僅停留在「記錄」的展示上，而是探索了如何持續並發展項目的能量，同時加入新的熱量。參考劇場表演的結構，將完成的項目比作劇本或樂譜，通過添加故事情節，期望能夠發現新的場景。為此，我們組建了一个集體，邀請了具有多元文化視角的沖繩攝影師「Linda Iha」、當代藝術家「今西勇太」、來自台灣的記者「古和純 KU, HE-CHUN」以及新媒體藝術集體「貳進 (2ENTER) 」共同創作。
本展覽的目標是為下一代留下作為新風俗的記錄。通過加入不同的解讀，旨在將其歸檔。此外，作為未來的拓展，也顯現出了在超高齡社會中，12年後關於「風車祭」慶祝的「Sabani（暫定）」的新創作可能性。
通過慶祝已故祖母的長壽，我自己感受到了死者與現世共度時光的重逢。只要我活著，沖繩的長壽慶祝將不斷更新。
在展覽的大廳中，懸掛著描繪卡吉瑪雅活動實際情況和新場景的燈籠。燈籠的下部懸掛著表達「抓周」的物件，展現了沖繩傳統長壽慶祝「風車祭」和滿一歲慶祝「抓周」之間的聯繫，形象地呈現了時空的輪回。
展覽的主牆上，投影展示了焚燒儀式場景與數位數據壓縮傳輸的相似性，描繪了卡吉瑪雅遊行被傳送到另一個世界的畫面。這段視頻是一個通過數位方式想像死後世界的嘗試。
地面上鋪設了印有焚燒後拍攝的灰燼照片的地毯，為參觀者提供了一个自由在上面活動的空間。這塊名為「傳送裝置」的地毯上，在展期內還舉行了由持續歌唱沖繩風景的「Four Sisters」樂隊表演的現場活動，作為裝置的一部分，創造了與參觀者一起的生動體驗。

展覧会形式にするにあたり、単なる「記録」の発表にとどまらず、プロジェクトの熱量を持続・発展させ、新たな熱量を加える方法を模索しました。劇場上演の構造を参考に、完結したプロジェクトを台本や楽譜のように例え、ストーリーを加筆していくことで新たな場面を見出すことを期待しました。この展覧会に合わせて、コレクティブを結成し、多様な文化的視点を持つ沖縄の写真家「伊波リンダ」、現代作家「今西勇太」、台湾から報道記者「古和純 KU, HE-CHUN」、そしてニューメディアアートコレクティブ「貳進 (2ENTER) 」を招聘し共に制作を行いました。
本展覧会の目的は、次世代に向けて新たな風習としての記録を残すことです。異なる解釈を加えながら、アーカイブ化することを目指しました。また、今後の展開として、超高齢化社会における「カジマヤー」の12年後のトゥシビー「サバニ（仮）」を新たに創造する可能性も見えてきました。
亡き祖母の長寿を祝うことで、死者と現世で共に歳を重ねるという再会を私自身が感じました。私が生きている限り、沖縄の長寿祝いは更新され続けるでしょう。
会場のロビーには、カジマヤーイベントの実際の様子や新たなシーンを描いた提灯が飾られています。提灯の下部には「タンカーユーエー（選び取り）」を表現したオブジェクトが吊るされており、沖縄の伝統的な長寿祝い「カジマヤー」と満1歳のお祝い「タンカーユーエー」が繋がり、時空が巡る様子を可視化しています。
会場のメインウォールには、お焚き上げのシーンとデジタルデータ圧縮送信の類似性を表現した映像が投影され、カジマヤーパレードがあの世に向けて転送されていくイメージが描かれています。この映像は、死後の世界をデジタルで想像する試みです。
床には、お焚き上げ後に撮影した灰の写真を印刷したカーペットを敷き、来場者が自由にその上で過ごせる空間を提供しました。この「転送装置」と名付けたカーペット上では、沖縄の風景を戦後から歌い続けている「フォーシスターズ」のライブがインスタレーションの一部として会期中開催され、来場者とともに生きた体験を創り出しました。
